FUNDAMENTALS
l During the first two days after piercing, avoid anything that thins the blood: such as alcohol, drugs and medication (aspirin)
l No sunbathing, saunas, or tanning beds for the next three weeks. Avoid seawater, salt water, or swimming for six weeks.
l Do not exercise for approximately 72 hours (sweating).
l When caring for your body, pH-neutral soaps should be used and should not come into direct contact with the piercing.
l For the next four weeks, any type of sexual intercourse (including oral sex) is taboo because there is a high risk of infection.
l You should avoid cycling and other activities that put strain on this area for two weeks.
l Due to the direct proximity to the anus, special attention must be paid to hygiene during the healing process.

Sitting and sporting activities such as cycling and jogging will be very uncomfortable at first and can lead to complications.

HEALING TIME & JEWELRY CHANGE
The healing process varies from person to person. A guiche piercing typically takes 3-6 months to heal.
The first change of jewelry should take place after 12 weeks at the earliest .
